●Core printing capabilities lie in adhesive deactivation and variable printing

Product stickers and labels function as the 'face' of an item, communicating its qualities and the key information required. Taniguchi highlights two core technical strengths.

 R) Variable‑data label

The first is a process called "adhesive deactivation", where silicone varnish is applied to the adhesive layer to intentionally remove stickiness in specific areas. This design boosts visibility, making it ideal for promotional eye‑catch labels, and because part of the label can be swapped out on-site, it also functions as a versatile POP sticker. He said "We introduced the intermittent rotary press that makes this technique possible about 30 years ago. Even today, I believe there are still not many companies capable of this."

Another specialty is variable data printing -- the ability to output different information on each printed item. This makes it possible to customize every label with elements like serial numbers, QR codes, addressees, or promotional codes. A typical example is the mobile‑order stickers used in dining establishments. By printing a unique QR code for each table, customers can scan the sticker and instantly open the order page assigned to that table. Since every QR code needs to be different, variable printing is indispensable. "In recent years, the spread of smartphones has driven a rapid surge in demand for variable printing," Taniguchi remarks, recognizing the technology's growing reach.

They produce mainly on contract, so exhibiting requires client approval. Their wish to show eye‑catching stickers and highlight their technology sparked a collaboration with a designer. And they developed highly designed products meant to let people enjoy the stickers themselves. One example is the MOJIMAP sticker series -- a unique map of Japan's 47 prefectures, illustrated entirely with the names of their cities and towns. Taniguchi says, "Showing these products at exhibitions led visitors to ask, 'Can you make this?'" He adds, "For small companies, sharing its work externally is vital", with conviction of "Opening new paths by continuing to take on challenges".
