MOLDMODEL uses plaster casting to manufacture non-ferrous metal products, a casting process to provide the same level of quality and accuracy as “precision die casting” used in the mass production metal forming process.
Plaster casting can produce thin-walled and complex-shaped parts that are finished with a superior, smooth casting surface. This process is also cost effective since no molds are required and is optimal for the production of a single item to short lots.

Processing can be done without dies!

In plaster casting, plaster is used in molding sections to finish the casting surface as beautifully as die casting.

*Plaster casting can be used to mold any shapes that are difficult to form with dies (die casting).
*Mass production with extremely small production quantities is also available(i.e., electron microscopes, medical devices, custom-order products).
*Plaster casting allows for complex and irregularly shaped molding, making it suitable for composites of existing parts (reduces number of parts).

Even ADC12 aluminum alloy can be used for prototype casting.

Plaster casting is capable of producing highly flexible shapes and a superior, smooth casting surface. By eliminating the need for dies, plaster casting is both cost effective and a quick way to manufacture products.

●Short delivery time

MOLDMODEL can accommodate requests for the production of prototypes and small lots with short delivery times. It utilizes plaster molds for casting and specializes in low-cost production in short periods of time. The company also offers production services from precision parts to handicrafts.

Casting Process

●Production process for high-quality castings

1)Master models
Master models are produced with machined ABS resin. Those models are manufactured by machining, resulting in a highly accurate, high-quality, and beautifully skinned finish.

2)Silicon molds
Silicon molds are produced from master molds. Master models can be accurately transferred with adequate defoaming processes.

3)Plaster casts
Plaster casts are produced using silicon molds. Plaster casts can be molded with a high degree of precision because the plaster particles are extremely fine. Undercut shapes can also be molded due to the flexibility of silicon molds.

Each casting process is carefully performed one by one by hand, even the depressurization process. In this way, the molten metal is reliably filled into every nook and cranny, resulting in high-quality castings.
